Data Brokering
Several functions, specialist teams and deep operating history. More data, more stakeholders, and a structured process to match.
A middle-market company produces data in every function. Pricing and renewals in the CRM, escalations in the ticketing system, the month-end close in the finance stack, contracts in the document store, and the decisions that connect them in Slack or Teams. Each is a separate asset with its own buyers and its own value.
The volume is larger and so is the room for error. Customer data, employee data and commercial terms sit in the same systems, and finance, IT, security and counsel each have a legitimate stake in what leaves the building. A sale that is not run with them from the start is a sale that has to be restarted.
We run it as a structured engagement: a full inventory across functions, a valuation by asset, a redaction and packaging plan your own security and legal teams sign off before anything is shared, and buyer diligence managed on your behalf. Assets are listed separately, so one pending approval does not hold up the rest.
Terms are set per asset. A one-time sale where that makes sense; licensing where the data keeps refreshing and keeps producing value. We are not legal counsel, and your counsel reviews every agreement.
Typical sources
In the middle market the question is rarely whether there is data worth selling. It is which assets, in what order, with whose sign-off.
Sequencing the listings is how the value is protected.
How We Run It
Valued asset by asset
Each function's data is valued and listed on its own merits rather than sold as one undifferentiated export, so the strongest assets are priced on their own terms.
Sign-off built in
Finance, IT, security and counsel review the redaction and packaging plan before any sample leaves your environment. Their questions are answered in the plan, not after it.
Diligence handled for you
Buyer questions, sample requests and quality checks come through us. Your team answers what only they can answer and nothing else.
Sale or licence
We structure terms per asset: a clean one-time sale, or recurring licensing where the data refreshes and a buyer will pay to keep receiving it.
How It Works
With finance and IT, we map each function's systems and history and identify which data sets have buyer demand.
A range and buyer fit for each asset, so you choose which to list first and which to hold back.
A redaction and packaging plan your security and legal teams approve before any sample leaves your environment.
Assets go to qualified buyers in sequence. We manage diligence, negotiate sale or licence terms per asset, and see each through to payment.
Other Segments
Owner-led businesses with years of records in a handful of systems. One decision maker, a short process, and proceeds from an asset already on the books.
Lower Middle MarketBusiness-unit scale data under formal governance. A process built for procurement, security review and data-protection assessment, with licensing structures to match.
